If your laptop battery's life has gotten shorter over time, there is a way to recalibrate it. This method involves first turning off your screensaver and other power management settings that might put your laptop in sleep mode. Fully charge your laptop, then unplug it and allow it to drain the battery naturally until  your laptop shuts down.

Once the battery is fully drained, you can charge it back up again and restore your screensaver and power management settings.

...if this doesn't work, it may be time for a new battery.

Belive it or not, it actually worked.
My laptop only lasts a Max of 45 minutes normally. Its a Sager 9590 meant for AutoCad and graphics which eats eletric.

But for when I need to show a client what their cage will look like, I pop open the laptop and run it just long enough to show them. Now maybe I can actually do more now that it lasts longer?

According to Smartcomputing.com discussion on common PC myths.. draining todays lithium batteries and recharging them from 3 percent power are not needed to be done anylonger. You arent saying that you should do that?
