How Will You Get To Heaven?

Is there more than one way to get to Heaven? Is there more than one religion that is correct in their teaching? Is a little of this, and a little of that okay? What do you believe?  This is what I believe: Psalm 57:9-10  I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations. For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.

Acts 4:10-12  Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Today's Verses - KJV 1 John 5:10-13  He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
My Comments
In this generation we are hearing there are many ways to the living God and eternal salvation. Some are even teaching that we will all be saved if we just believe in some god. These claim that it is not important what we call Him, just believe! Beloved, that is not what the Word of God says! Do those who teach that understand they are calling God a liar? All lies the devil tells us have some truth in them to make them sound good! It is the part that is not truth that will cause us to get into error. The early followers of Christ said there was only one way to be saved! His name is Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God. Some will say that is a narrow minded way. Absolutely it is a narrow way, but it is the only way to salvation. Those who are trusting their eternal souls on someone else will miss heaven! Beloved, the gospel has not changed, the Word of God has not changed, contrary to what some say. God has made a way that everyone can be saved, who will believe on the name of His only begotten Son. The earth and the fullness thereof belongs to God and His way is the only way to be saved. When Jesus cried from the cross "It is finished", The Way of salvation was completed. Sin's penalty was paid and everyone who will can receive everlasting life, if they will believe on the Name of The Son of God. That is the good news of the Bible. The life that God The Father offers is in Jesus Christ and in Him alone! Have you received Him? Do you have the witness in yourself that you have? Meditate on it!
Prayer
Father God, Thank You for making a Way that everyone can know You as their Father. Thank You for loving us and giving us Your only begotten Son so in Him we can have eternal life. If any who read this are trusting in someone else for salvation, wake them up to The Truth. We ask, believe we receive, and give thanks in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

God's word is pretty clear and most people get the proper interpretation. Others, simply DON'T like that interpretation for THEMSELVES.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink... I'm sure those who don't want to drink, are happy to know how you feel.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with you. However, post directed this way don't usually reach the lost... Better to find a common ground to reach people and plant a small seed than none at all. ;+)

Every culture has it's own idea of beliefs and they are all tied to one thing...creater. Just because some don't take the words written in the bible by man as gosbel, doesn't mean their beliefs aren't correct or incorrect either, just different. One thing that is strong within all beliefs is the SPIRIT! Everyone has that in common but may picture different types and descriptions. It's all in what you concieve to be true within your heart and soul that makes the spiritual medicine strong!

Thanks for your input Wild! I was afraid that some may have taken my post the wrong way... I am from the Tampa Fox, area and people over there avoid the "Faith" Blogs like the plague.. You should check out my recent post over there. It concerns me that people seem to always tie the faith blogs with religion.... You guys do a much better job over here. Lots of good topics! Sometimes they do go together, but many times they don't.

I'm more interested in dialogue between people. If we just pose scripture references we loose the ability to meet on a common ground. Jesus met people where they were, in their own spiritual developement. They learned more from his example (kindness, just sitting with them) at times than what he actually preached to them.....

It is clear in the bible, the way to salvation, It is through "the Son, Jesus Christ"
God gave man free will, he does not force us to "love" Him. What a wise choice.
I believe it is by Constant reading of His Word, that the blinders are lifted from our eyes, and the truth is revealed, so that we may understand what the "Father" is saying to us.
All I know is............in any dire time that i have struggled, and asked God to comfort me and show me the way, I open my bible to wherever it may lay.....and God has shown me, through his word, what the answer is. And though i may not see...or touch him, I know that my Faith is strong, as He has shown me the light, and He still loves me no matter how wicked my soul.

Well...I'm not really sure what the answer is. It's all open to interpretation. I do believe that God knows what's in my heart. My family is going theough a terribly trying time right now. Like Twiz, I hold onto my faith and know that God will not let us fall.

I'll be praying for you, 80's. The entirety of the above post, with the exception of what is written in red, came from my daily, online devotion. For some reason, I felt directed to forward it here. Whether it reaches anyone or not, is beyond my control, for THAT is entirely in the hands of The Holy Spirit. It was not my intention to "preach" or to "lead" or "direct" ANYOINE one way or the other. I was only following that "little voice inside" me, that I've learned to listen to.

I have studied a number of religions. And have found many teach the same principles. The biggest difference in them are cultural and traditional practices. And a big problem among all of them, is that people follow one teaching and disregard a slew of others. If people would just set their egotistical concept of being right aside, I think we would actually start getting somewhere. As for the only way to heaven being through Jesus Christ, I believe thats true. But not in the sense most perceive it to be. I believe its by living your life to your best ability by His example. But most think its by being a Christian and forsaking all other beliefs. Christianity didnt evolve until 43 A.D. first in Antioch by Paul- not Jesus... Therefore Jesus never taught Christianity. I think we should focus more on what He did teach, and the examples He lead and put them into practice. Rather than thinking your saved because the preacher tells you so... He is not the judge. It breaks my heart to see so many sheep being lead further, and further away from the point. In alot of cases the blind are leading the blind... I hope some of you don't take this wrong, just speaking from my own personal experience and oppinion. But I must add, that out of all my spiritual experience, nothing surpass' the feeling obtained from doing good deeds and caring for others. God knows our hearts, and I believe its our intentions that we are most judged on.

Pheonix, thank you for taking the time to comment on my blog. Yes, indeed God does know our hearts, counts our tears, and holds them in the palm of His hand. He knows each of us intimately enough to know the exact number of hairs on our heads. He knows when we will take our last breath. And yes, he sees how we treat others, and He sees how others treat us, too! Forgiveness, peace, hope, kindness, fairness, love, joy, comfort, all things that are pleasant, beautiful and good, we as Christians, KNOW come from God. Everything else that is rotten comes from the world, and the Evil One who polluted it. I believe what the Bible says, every, single word. I don't believe in mixing up a whole bunch of religions, and coming up with one that satisfies Deborah. I just believe what the Bible says, what I've learned from reading it, and what I've learned from those who are wiser than I am, and whose knowledge is greater than mine, in their understanding of the Bible.
