The debate went well for both McCain and Obama. Attacks during the debate, were not as prevalent as recent ads might have indicated. McCain threw some punches, but Obama came back strong and drove his message home. Obama seemed to be more specific about how he plans to correct the problems facing American families.

Obama is determined to fight for the middle class working people, where McCain stated he plans to give tax breaks to everyone, including the most wealthy.

Obama was also clearly in favor of renewing relations with our allies to more effectively deal with problems in Pakistan, Iran, and other countries. I believe Obama won this debate.

I Dislike both of them...However Obama made of sence...He was way more CLEAR with his answers.

I thought Obama won last night.

McCain seems to be losing his mind. He's so angry. Biden was a riot on the Today show this morning.

McCain's lame attempt to provide a joking answer to Tom Brokaw's question on who he would select as his treasury secretary ("Not you, Tom") was rude. Also, his disdain for Obama was clear to everyone when he pointed at Obama and said "That one!" (regarding a vote in the senate).

These type of remarks contributed to McCain's losing the debate.

Now I can see how he earned the nicknames "McNasty" and "Punk" in school. He sure hasn't changed much, has he?

Yes, I think McCain is all for McCain, regardless
of the effect his actions have on others.

I also thought McCain really goofed when Oliver Clark asked him how the bailout will help out everyday working folks and McCain foolishly assumed that Clark never heard of Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac before the crisis. Talk about underestimating the knowledge and intelligence of the person asking the question! I mean, the guy did ask about the financial crisis!

McCain is so condescending just about every time he opens his mouth, which will contribute to his downfall in the election.

Mccain is going a wonderful job to the best of his ability. However, his age is a major factor of his right now. If he had been 10 years older, I believe he would be giving Obama an even harder time. He strikes me as a thriller. I am an avid Obama supporter. Although he chose Palin as his running mate, it won't matter in the end. I truly think that many people prefer Obama to Mccain. Too close sometimes though for my comfort.
