FLINT, Mich. (AP) -- Al Gore says he is backing Barack Obama and will do whatever he can to help him get to the White House. In a letter to be e-mailed to Obama supporters, Gore says Obama has united a movement over the past year and a half. The former vice president also asks for donations to help fund Obama's effort -- the first time he's asked members of his Web site AlGore.com to contribute to a political campaign. Gore is one of the most popular figures in the Democratic Party, but he kept a low profile in the primary campaign. He's planning to appear with Obama at a rally in Detroit Monday night.

How much do you think this will help Obama?

Thanks for blogging,
Corrina

Hi Corrina,
How was your weekend? I have a question for you, I blogged you Friday and when I checked to see if anyone posted a response my blog was not there, could you please tell me why it was not there? As for Gore and Obama this for one does not suprise me. I figured that Gore would side with Obama sooner or later. Gore has a knack for picking the loosing side. I do not think this will help Obama at all. In fact it could potentially hurt Obama in the long run.

Vancouver,

Thank you for your blogs. I had a nice weekend. Hope you did too. I noticed a couple of your responses from the Huckabee blog over the weekend. Were you able to get your point across?

Take care,
Corrina

Corrina,
I had an okay weekend of course I spent all Sunday with my father. Kind of made him mad with my complaining that Tiger was loosing and that the PGA should call of the entire match since Tiger was in so much pain and award him the trophy, because of all the pain he was in (since the PGA knew he was going to win). Did you go and see your father Corrina? Yes I was able to get my point across on the Huckabee blog. But not all of it. Did you delete my first blog? Not that it would have bothered me except there was no explanation as to why it was deleted. Guess it is a sign I need to be a little less hot headed. I know it was a little out there but it did tell how off Huckabee can be at times.

I just remembered that McCain was on SNL this weekend and he made some good points in a joking manner. I do not think anything will help Obama. There is just too much we do not know about him to think he is safe enough to be elected. I have to REALLY agree with McCain on that one. It is way to early to say Obama is the Dems nomination. I think people should still be considering Clinton as president at the convention.

Gore is a laughing stock to most. He SHOULD endorse Obama.. they are both stuck on Stupid. He should pick him as VP.. Dumb and Dumber.

If the Democrats had any sense at all, they would dump all of these loosers and start up a whole new group with entirely different ideals. Instead of pointing fingers, actually do something about the problems this country is having. I can't tell you the last time I remember there being an intellegent Democrat that wasn't telling a lie to make themselves look good. I wouldn't vote Democratic even if the Pope was on the ticket. (BTW he is far smarter than that to even think about bailing them out)

LOL “Al Gore's big name” (from after his broadcast) now that is funny , if he was so big where was he in 04 ? Why did his book / movie lose so much money (even after the DNC bought so many copy's) ...but I am sure it will help , Al bring the “to crazy to fallow Nader” faction to Obama's side ! I am sad tho it was missed opportunity when John Kerry did not appear at the same press conference ....I really want the picture of them standing together as a model for a small statue I will be selling nation wide ....the base says : “See No evil , Hear No evil , Speak No evil”...other captions will include “three blind mice”....and a bobble head version for your car will come with a bumper sticker that says God NOT on board !

LOL! Carl Rove said it best last night:

Wow! Gore, AFTER Obama wins the primary, comes out with an endorcement! LOL.

Its like after the firemen risk it all to put out a house fire, and now that it is over, suddenly from up the street we see Gore running to the scene with a glass of water... "I'm here to help!" ROFLMAO!!!

Ironically.. Gore now supports a candidate that did not get the larger amount of popular votes, and won by an electorate (super delegates)... HA!!! Funny.. Bush didn't get the same support in 2000 now did he..

Maybe now Gore has FINALLY figured out that part of the Constitution that he tried to toss out for a win in Florida in 2000.....

RNC08, in answer to your previous post, the reason Gores book lost money is due in part to the fact that you and Abunai didn't purchase your copies. I guess that he finally understands that he needs to appeal to a wider audience.
