WASHINGTON (AP) -- Barack Obama has won the endorsement of four new superdelegates helping push him toward the Democratic presidential nomination, including a backer of rival Hillary Rodham Clinton. The support comes the day after Obama's victory in North Carolina and closer than expected finish behind Clinton in Indiana. Among the supporters is Virginia's Jennifer McClellan, who used to support Clinton. The Obama campaign announced three other supporters -- North Carolina Democratic Party Chairman Jerry Meek, North Carolina Democratic National Committee member Jeanette Council, and California DNC member Inola Henry. Clinton picked up another delegate in Rep. Heath Shuler, who said he would support whoever won his district in North Carolina.

Think it's time for Sen. Clinton to quit? Think her fight for the nomination is only helping Sen. McCain?

Looking forward to your blogs,
Corrina

The news media has been pushing for Sen. Clinton to dop out for weeks now. I have been wondering when did the news media become a politicians play ground? If you want to win the precidency then turn to the news media! As for Senator CLinton No I am not a Democrat but I would rather see her get the Democratic nomination over Obama! YOU PEOPLE NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT ONE DID YOU. CLINTON MIGHT HAVE DONE WRONG BUT AT LEAST SHE DOES NOT HANG AROUND WITH A MAN THAT SAYS GOD DAMN AMERICA!!! AT LEAST SHE IS PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!!! As for Obama if he should win then there is a lot of unpatiotic people in this country! YOU WOULD BE ELECTING A MUSLIM! Yes he is a Muslim HUSANE is his middle name and for all of you that like him that is a muslim name, and if you have been hinding under a rock for seven years Muslims attacked us. I know the Muslims said those peole where not of their religon but I would not believe them if they where to tell me rain was wet!!! So if you do not like Clinton remember she is a lot better then that guy and he does not deserve to stand next to a man that was a POW for five years who supports this nation who would never say GOD DAMN AMERICA and who represents the best of this country!

Vancouver,

Easy. Talk today is that Clinton says she's in the race until a winner is declared fair and square... not a moment sooner. Many democrats want to get the show on the road and prepare for November. I want to hear from both republicans and democrats today about this issue.

I’ve said this before and I’ll sat it again…

I LOVE it..The ONLY reason Hillary's STILL in there is because of Limbaugh's "Operation Chaos" and the LEFT can't make up it's mind whether to CURSE him or to Brag about Hillary's Popularity among Republicans..

ROFLMAO..

So,,,The Libs end up doing what they ALWAYS do..They do BOTH.....

And besides

We STILL have the Reseating of the Fla. and Mich. Delegates to go through..AND,, The flurry of activity surrounding the SUPER Delegates to go through and last be certainly NOT least,, the plethora of LEGAL challenges to go through IF she should lose the nomination..

Remember..A DEMOCRAT Never loses an election,,THEY just Lose their case in court...

What nobody counted on was a LIBERAL who has the AUDACITY to ACT like a Liberal..Someone who has NO loyalties other then to herself and her 40 year plan..Not the MAINSTREAM Liberalism,,Not the Democrat Party..NOT even Bill..All these things are USEFUL to her and as LONG as they are,, SHE will tolerate them..She married BILL for the plan..She PUT UP with Bill for the plan..She’s done things that SHOULD have gotten her put her in JAIL for the plan..And NOW that she can see the Prize,,,DAMN if she’ll give it up..She’s worked TOO long and TOO hard to let it slip away NOW…After ALL..She is OWED this Presidency..

I predict,,RIGHT now,, Wednesday,,MAY 07,2008,, that IF Hillary should lose this nomination,,there will STILL be Court Challenges Pending come November..

BTW..It’s being reported today that Hillary has had to lend her Campaign ANOTHER 6 million Dollars JUST to

Should she quit? Yessssss! Will she, not now but when she realizes just how much she has spent (of her own money) that just may be when she decides.

It's great news fodder ... that's all it is.

Does it help McCain? Not really given the fact he has almost close to being ignored ny the new frenzy over the Dems. Although he did sound ridiculous in his speech bout the gas prices ... brings to mind that these folks have no clue in basic economics ... thats another blog LOL.

Ohhhhh bring on the Libertarian candidate and spare us from either McCain or Obama!!!

Corrina,
I just feel very passionate about this campaign, and like I said before there are a lot of idiots in this country. I am glad Sen. Clinton is staying in the race. McCain Needs no help he can win and will win the presidency no matter who he is up against and no I am not sorry for my first comment.

If Florida's votes were counted
like they should have been
I bet Hillary would be AHEAD!

Obama will NEVER get my vote!

Especially since he does
NOT want ANY Florida votes to count!

That is NOT FAIR to Florida voters.

BTW
Can you research laws regarding "write in candidates" for President in Florida?

I want to write Hillary in on my ballot
in November
EVEN if they refuse to put her on!

I'll bet she is going to hold her breath and stomp her feet until she gets what she wants. Maybe she will hold her breath long enough to cause further brain damage. Maybe, just maybe Bill will get caught under her stomping feet and she would do him in at the same time.

opinionated, apparently you are one of those 'HRC' supporters. You know the ones we all groan about every time you speak.
Your vote would have counted IF you and the rest of the FL voters had READ or even listened to the rules! You were TOLD that your vote WOULD NOT count and you went ahead and voted anyway. Typical DEM silliness.
Now that your heir apparent has been dethroned, you, like her, want to change the rules yet again. Typical.

It's amazing that so many Republicans continue to be so concerned about who gets the Democratic nomination. I would think that they would be more concerned about the affairs of the Republican party. I don't remember reading many comments from Democrats regarding the selection/process of the Republican primaries.

Should Hillary drop out? I am not a Democrat and don't know the rules and inner workings of the party, so I'll leave that determination to all of the above. Similarly, I am not a Republican and am still confused about how and why McCain ended up as the candidate so soon.

Because he took the majority of votes in the primaries on Super Tues. Same reason the Dems have HAD a nominee in nearly every election by the end of Super Tues, except this one when HRC was blown out of the water. And, the Republicans allow the voters to make the choice, we don't rely on so called Super delegates to make the choice for us.And lastly, the other Rep candidates ceded the race to McCain instead of engaging in a protracted battle that could destroy the party.
So, in answer to your question, since we DON'T have to worry about our own candidate, we are concentrating on the competition, and for the sheer entertainment of watching the Dems implode, and no other reason.

LLRucker said: "Rep candidates ceded the race to McCain instead of engaging in a protracted battle that could destroy the party."

That's an interesting statement, because I have heard and read all kinds of complaints from Republicans about McCain. In fact, I have hear Republicans state that they wouldn't vote or even would vote for a Democrat rather than vote for McCain. Apparently most of his opposition comes from conservative Republicans. All in all it sounds like the Republican party has been quite divided by its primaries.

Isn't open and complete discussion and debate a good thing? Why accomplish everything behind closed doors? Romney stepping down so early was a shock to many people.

I think this might go down to the line and I don't see it hurting the Democrats by her hanging in. I think if she really thinks she has a chance then she is obligated to stay in.

Either way all the candidates are basically democrats so I'm happy no matter how it goes. I think McCain is more of a democrat than Kerry. Go McCain!
