Sports and faith... do they mix?  How do you feel about athletes pointing toward the sky after scoring? How about the sign of the cross before stepping up to the plate? What about coaches sharing their faith with players and all of America.  Have an opinion about athletes sitting out of games to recognize religious holidays.  How far is too far?

Keep those blogs coming...

These athletes are the same ones taking the groupies to the hotels after the games while their families sit at home and wait for daddy. They are the same ones going to the club to drink a lot of alcohol. They are the same ones getting into it with the law. When it works for them they praise Jesus. A bunch of overpaid bafoons!

You said it toddt.
I like it also when they get in front of the media or other public forum and say things like; "first off I would like to thank Christ Jesus, because threw him all things are possible" Then follow it up with things like "motherFer please", "I'm gonna kick his motherFin a$$" or things like, "I run this motherFer, get my bitches BLEEP". I wonder if they go to the Baptist church?
Yep, they are our most religious public figures who all our children should model themselves after.

Hey Corrina,
Yeah athletics and faith mix. You have to believe that you can do it, even if you believe there's divine intervention involved. Strong faith can really help. So what they have groupies, so what they're at the club drinking alcohol, and so what to everything these two bitter bloggers wrote. Athletes aren't preachers, they're just like me and you, just talented. I think it's a big generalization to say all athletes are like that anyway.

It's a free country, let athletes do what they want. Some have a devout faith and live it out; others are superficial religious hypocrites. The authentic people of faith with be appreciated and recognized at true role models. The fakes will show their true colors and ignored by thinking people.
