TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Andy Pettitte apologized to the New York Yankees, Houston Astros and his fans Monday for the "embarrassment" he caused them by taking human growth hormone. The Yankees pitcher said he had not talked to good friend Roger Clemens since Pettitte's sworn statement implicated his former teammate in the use of HGH. "I never want a young person to do what I did," Pettitte said.

What do you make of Pettitte's apology?  Do you believe Clemens?

Thanks for blogging,
Corrina

Would he have come forward on his own with his LAME excuses???? I think not. He had to be caught. All this is just a farce & ANY ATHLETE that resorts to Drugs to enhance his/her position should be thrown out of the sport or what ever they are in. What a ROLE MODEL these people make for our youngsters & everyone else.

If our youth would look at military men and women who wear the medal of honor as a hero and not some drug taking athlete that couldn't hold a candle to the likes of Micky Mantle, it would be a better world. Nothing is sacred anymore, anything goes.....and it's going down a rathole.
