Morning after Palin's speech...Thoughts?

Now that 12 hours have passed since Sarah Palin's speech at the Republican National Convention, what are your thoughts? For those of you who loved every minute of it at the time - are you still pumped? And for those, like our persistent pessimist Sensible Joe, are you still not impressed? What do you want to see now out of her?


I've got to share that the lasting image I have, and I really think I'm speaking for the whole studio crew (as we were on the set watching), was Palin's youngest daughter holding the six-month-old baby like a doll and licking her lips to provide some "help" in hand brushing the infants hair. We all got a kick out of that (and no Sensible Joe or anyone else who's skeptical, that doesn't mean we're all in the tank for the Republicans...it was just a raw, unexpected light hearted moment).

I'll be checking back throughout the day to see what you've got to say about Wednesday night...

I thought it was excellent Cale. I loved just the entire speech and also loved Rudys' too. As for the little girl wetting the babys' hair, I thought that was dalrling too. I'm certain the dems will have something stupid (as usual) about that too.

Cale I think Sarah is not only a very good pick, but if McCain will use her knowledge and her abilty to deal with issues they will make one of the best this Country has had in 16 yrs.

She is is better than Hillary could ever hope to be, I wish our Governor was half as strong is she is..I would love to see her as PRESIDENT, I strongly believe she is the type of WOMAN that could lead our country without falling into the good old boy game,,,

I was laughing so hard at the little girl licking her lips and combing her brothers hair that I missed a couple of seconds of Palin's speech. I thought her speech was wonderful!!! I am so pumped. I think McCain and Palin will win for sure now.

I think it quite funny how Obama complains that they take his "community organizer" time without talking about his time as a Civil Rights Attny, etc.

REALLY?

Aren't you the same person Obama that MINUTES after Gov. Palin was announced, said she was just a Mayor of a few thousand, and dismissed her other accomplishments LIKE BEING A SITTING GOV. with 80% approval rating!

This just goes to show once again how ELITE Obama is! It was evidently ok for him to do it, but now that his accomplishments have been belittled he wants to call her out?

OMG! Is this REALLY going to be this easy?

I thought her speech was awesome. I expected it to be good, but it was FAR better than I expected. She was a Great pick, and she will make a Great Vice President, and later President!

I wish I recorded it, as I would love to watch it again! Is it on youtube yet?

I think the VP debates may be MUCH more entertaining than the presidential debates, and THAT is saying a lot!

BTW Cale, just ignore senselessjoe. He is a drive by blogger that drops in to correct spelling, or express his pathetic negativity, but never returns. He has never commented twice on the same blog. A one hit wonder you could say. Totally useless.

Awe,come on guy's ease up on my boy "sensiblejoe",he makes some good pionts.
As for Sarah Palin,If a VP nominee is so obscure you have to "google" their resume,it doesn't seem like a smart pick.I enjoy watching the Republican Party implode right before my eyes. hahahaha

Sarah is the Marshal Earp to Obamessiah's Ike Clanton and November 4th is the OK Corral..

Well that proves that you are completely unbiased. And I agree 100% that it is completely appropriate that you have Obama as your lead story on the Political page of this site , after all nothing important happened yesterday other than Obama's interview ! ...tell me guys did you even have the sound turned on when you watched Palin's speech or was it just so that you had some visuals to go with the names ?
