Madonna compares McCain to Hitler. Ignorant?

Maybe it's because she's not as relevant as she used to be...who knows really. Madonna opened her new tour (called "Sticky and Sweet"...I'll let you come to your own conclusions on that one) with several images that compared Republican Presidential Candidate John McCain to Adolf Hitler. Here's a bit from a report by The Press Association:



The 50-year-old pop star, who is no stranger to controversy, juxtaposed images of the German dictator and Zimbabwe's president with Mr McCain as she kicked off her world tour at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium on Saturday night.

Towards the end of the song, images of John Lennon, Nobel prize winner Al Gore and Mahatma Gandhi were shown with Mr McCain's Democratic rival Barack Obama.

McCain campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds said: "The comparisons are outrageous, unacceptable and crudely divisive all at the same time.

"It clearly shows that when it comes to supporting Barack Obama, his fellow worldwide celebrities refuse to consider any smear or attack off limits."




Some people will clearly be offended by Madonna. Others might agree. And even more people might simply laugh and find it ignorant on Madonna's part. What do you think?

So, some one tell me who this Maddonna is. I only remember her from her showing off her pointed bra and nothing else. She is a total air head and her opinion does not matter to me.

Madonna has always been a women that wants people to look at her no matter what she is doing. She fell out of the spotlight so now she is calling McCain Hitler and Obama. What saint? She nothing but another celebrity from Hollyweird who knows nothing. McCain is as much Hitler as Obama is whatever or whoever she is trying to compare him to.

Who cares? Hollywierdos are always doing / saying obnoxious and childish things. How many of those actors and actresses threaten to move out of the country if their political choice doesn't do well in an election? They are really inconsequential and obnoxious. They make themselves not matter at all.

I MUST confess to being just a little bit curious here regarding the opening comment..

Can SOMEBODY tell me please,, Exactly WHEN was THIS " Icon of Perversion" EVER relevant???

Her "I'm a whole different kind of Slut at 50" world tour CLEARLY demonstrates to ME that after all is said and dobe,, there is NOTHING New about her at ALL..

Who cares what anyone in Hollyweird thinks, says or does?! Not a one of them lives in the real world!! They don't deal with the everyday grind of living; working, paying bills, taking care of children, cleaning, cooking, etc. They work on a movie or an album and make more than any of us regular folks will make in our lifetime, have maids, cooks and nannies. Give me a break, the day anything Madonna says or does matters to me will not ever happen!! She needs to concentrate on her failing marriage and raising her children. This is from a woman worth multi millions and gives her own grandmother an allowance of $500 a month and pays her medical bills, be still my heart!!

Not a very good comparison. Hitler, the National Socialist, did have a close contemporary though Stalin, the Communist. In private conversations with their respective Foriegn Ministers they both expressed a mutual admiration as well, as to each other's means and methods. I personally believe that there are those in the Democratic party that fit the bill better for their socialist or communist views. The fact that they are not in the HIGHEST office has probably been more of a factor in limiting their extremes or excesses in reguards to means and methods.

If Madonna was stupid, she would not have been the international success story that all,others are now measured to. If she ran for President I'd vote for her over McCain, Obama, Schwarzenegger, and if she ran last year she'd have beaten Bush and saved American the past horrible 8 years. Clooney was my first choice.
