Wow! Make it two years in a row with a nail-biting, heart-stopping finish at the Daytona 500. It's hard to beat Ryan Newman's last lap from several spots back to the checkered flag...But I found the whole 50th Anniversary and introduction of the past winners pretty darn cool. Heck even Cale Yarborough and Davey Allison sat next to each other during the race - and they're as famous for duking it out after a crash!

What other great things did you take from the race, besides the awesome finish...

We were on the edge of our seats. What a great race, with another awesome finish.

I loved it when they rolled out Dale's car during the Brooks & Dunn show, for the 10th Anniv. of his win there. I was touched :)

If it wasn't for the quick actions of Kurt Bush pushing Newman to the front...he wouldn't have won this race! Team work always benefits! I also noticed Davey Allison was mentioned a number of times during the race! But what did disturb me is I thought I saw the number 28 being used by Montoya...I thought it was retired! Am I mistaken?

Dear Mater01, Montoya was running the 42 car this year, and all of last year.

The 28 car was being driven by Travis Kvapil, who drives for the Yates Racing team, this year at the 500, so I quess the number is not retired.

(Sighing), that hurts! Travis had better do that number right then!
