Cale Ramaker's Blog

Many of you on these blogs have concrete views of the major political issues and who you're supporting come next November...

For those of you who are on the fence, I've got a great website that's easy to navigate and may very well help you decided who to support in 2008. And I challenge those of you who think you've got your mind all made up, to test it - and see if you really are good match with your preferred candidate.

www.MyElectionChoices.com

This website does a great job of measuring up all the major issues, like the Iraq War and abortion, and telling you which candidate best represents your views. All you need to do is select from a few statements that fit you best. Check it out!

To be fair...one of my closest friends since high school is behind the website. He and a few colleagues have spent a lot of time putting MyElectionChoices.com together. Let me know what you think...and I, in turn, will let him know the reaction.

Just went and completed some areas..lots of fun and a bit surprised...heck, I don't know anything about Huckabee but that's who I agree with most.

Will get me to find out a bit more about him. Was also surprised I agreed so little with Fred Thompson.

Anyway, so far (not all catagories done) it's Huckabee and Rudy..

Thanks for the link!

This is a great web-site with lots of info. Imagine my surprise when after completing 4 categories the candidate I had the most in common with is Clinton, Rudy not far behind.

I'm going to forward it to all my friends. Thanks for the link!!

Now that was scary, there wasn't one that I agreed with all issues on. This will make me find out more about some of these candidates though to find out what they do believe. Thanks for the link!

Great feedback...glad you like it so far. I'm actually going to see my friend Andy (who's behind this site) out in Seattle over the weekend. I will share with him the comments. And as for Huckebee...he and Ron Paul seem to suprise some Republicans for how well they line up with their views.

Great site Cale. The more information the better. I just try to avoid the Left and Right leaning sites. Politico is a new one that if you look at their " friends" it is the same list on Micheal Moores address book. www.realClearPolitics.com is a good one that just shows articles across the board.

After completeing all areas, I found that I'm most aligned with another unknown...Hunter..followed by Brownbeck.

Hey Cal...when ya see your buddy...one thing I'd like to see.. Be able to add more weight to answers in catagories most important to me..

I care a lot more about their position on immigration or the war than abortion or higher education.

Guess I'll go back and just delete all but immigration and see where I land...

Neat blog. Romney first then Huckabee with Thompson in the upper middle of the rest of the republicans.Couldn't believe I agreed with Hillary on anything, but did twice on the death penality-strong advocate and applying it to more types of crimes. While I wouldn't vote for her,hey you liberals she wants a bigger frying pan and the burner WFO !

Wow, What an amazing site.I must be a Tried and True Democrat :)My top 5 were all Dems, with Mike Gravel leading the way.And I dont even know who he is -lol.This site encourages everybody to do alittle more researching of candidates and options for upcoming election. If every person in America had access to this site,The election and so called "front runners" would be vastly different.
MY TOP 5 WERE:
Mike Gravel-9
Hillary Clinton-6
Bill Richardson-6
Joe Biden-6
Barrack Obama-4
Ron Paul-4,*
*(included 6,because of tie)

I don't think it is very accurate. It told me I should vote for Mike Huckabee. I won't vote for him because I find him unimpressive. Also, I didn't see too many Fred Thompson quotes on Immigration.

Huckabee(R)-14 (I'm unimpressed with him.)
Hunter(R)-13 (I like him. I don't think he can win.)
Romney(R)-13 (No way. His website is also in spanish.)
Brownback(R)-12 (No way on "Amnesty-Samnisty".)
Gilmore(R)-12 (Not bad, I don't think he can win.)
Guiliani(R?)-11 (Not happening! He's not strong on 2nd amendment rights.)
McCain(R)-11 (NO WAY!!! He co-authored the amnesty bill.)
Tancredo(R)-10 (I like him, but, I don't think he can win.)
Thompson, Fred(R)-8 (I like him and will probably vote for him.)
Obama(D)-7 ( hahahahaha, you've got to be kidding me!!)
Paul(R/L)-7 (I like him better than I thought I would. He's a bit of an acquired taste.)
Dodd(D)-5 (Don't know much about him.)
Gravel(D)-5 (Don't know much about him.)
Thompson, Tommy(R)-5 (unimpressive)
Biden(D)-4 (Don't know much about him.)
Edwards(D)-4 (What a weenie!)
Clinton(D)-3 (hahahahahaha NO WAY!!! I realize after looking at what I supposedly agreed with her on that they were statements that she has contradicted at other times.)
Richardson(D)-3 (Don't know enough about him.)

An update...my friend who is behind the website is reading your comments from out in Seattle. About 13% of his web traffic is coming from right here. Way to go!
