According to Several Economists, If the US does'nt do something soon , the economy will be crippled ( seems to me its already starting).

and one even went out on a limb and said the the US Dollar will be Worthless with in the next five yrs, because the US owes so much money to everyone...

I don't care that the Blow hard Puppet Bush tells us that the eonomy is good, who listens to his Babble any way..the econmy is NOT in GOOD shape..Blame who you wish...

When i hear all day long about how Bush wants Amnesty for the Illegals , then i know our country is in trouble...

i wish this country ( and even my mother country) would take a lesson or two from the Aussies!~

Yea it horrible did you see how bad the stock market is ! And the GDP is just terrible. I will go out on a limb here and say these are the same “experts” that predicted Apple computer would go bankrupt...for 18 years in a row!

burnstorm has it right. Record numbers are fed to us regarding the numerous economic indicators used to convince the average joe that all is well in Margaritaville. Like 97,000 new jobs, yet on the same page you read the thousands that several large manufacturers are going to lay off in the near future. The ripple effect of the housing slow down is taking hold. We either see it or some of us have even been effected by it. It's a sad comentary for this great country with it's hard working "working poor". The middle class is slowly becoming extinct. I wonder how many Americans can honestly say that they are financially better off than a year ago? Aside from the elite CEO corps.

What exactly are you looking for , to make it a “good” economy ? Honestly , economic growth is a record level for 16 straight months now , unemployment is at a 27 year low , the middle class* is still expanding faster than the % below the poverty level. So what are you saying you would call a strong economy ? I relay want to know.
*In the past 12 months the population of the country increased by 1% but the middle class increased by 3%
As for your question, where you better of year to year under Clinton ? (my industry saw a 70% decline under Clinton, and has don a slow but steady recovery in the past 5 years )

pundit,,YOU probably live better off then the majority of UPPER middle class people of just a generation ago..
You almost certainly live better then the vast majority of people in the world today..Even the POOR in this country do..
Your car is relatively new, a couple of years old at most if you're the average person.

The ONLY reason that ANYBODY would call themselves the "working poor" in this country is because they are used to hearing that they are...

Busted economy?? NO economy??

20 million Illegal Invaders in this country with MORE on the way say that you are wrong....

Maybe we DO need some fresh blood....

We need an Amero.

As for squawk: "The ONLY reason that ANYBODY would call themselves the "working poor" in this country is because they are used to hearing that they are..." -----

You need money to have a home and a working vehicle and an educatin, etc. What is poor here is not poor in other places, but it is still a disadvantage t be "poor" here.

"20 million Illegal Invaders in this country with MORE on the way say that you are wrong...."
Again you are comparing loaf-bread and tortillas.

Are they jumping out of the fire, and into the frying pan? :)

"...F.. Even people applying for food stamps are driving 30 to 60 thousand dollar vehicles,,,,ONLY in America..."

Their abuse of the system has nothing to do with other people who have legitimate needs. Placing blame on a whole group, instead of individual offenders, is called stereotyping.

That would be like me saying all bloggers are religious hypocrites, just because Squawk and Dub are.
