Thank goodness at least the gas is coming down on price but what about everything that was raised now due to the increased pricing of fuel!  Will prices of everything else effected by the economy start also coming down?  A pondering question left to be answered!!!

But as a little reminder...please don't forget what happened and don't let this change much of your driving habits you have had to learn how to do!  Use this knowledge to keep things going as it may gradually get better and better by everyone using what we have learned and make it work for us for a change!  This effect on gas prices has to be from people being conservitive!  WE did it with the help of Mother Nature and her not slamming us with Hurricanes this year so take advantage of the good that is now showing and work with it...not against it and gets us right back to where we were!  Let's keep that within our history and past and work forward as the wiser!!!  We my have another chance at this so don't waste it!  Let's get America BACK!!!  Let's Show Our Government just how truly little they are!

Save the FUEL!  Put things RIGHT AMERICA!  WE Can Do this!!!  Everything went haywire with the rise of prices...now we have the chance to keep it going our way and all we needed was that relief with fuel prices and we all worked hard to fight through it so why not take advantage of the very thing that was a big part of bringing us down!  United We Stand!  Use what we have all started learning and have learned on what is needed to make things right!  Let's really make the Greedy look bad and stand out, then bring them down!  America Shall Rise Again "By the People"!

An interesting fact as I pointed out in a blog that I wrote earlier today is that oil is down in price and the dollar is climbing above 80 cents.

There was an interesting article in Businessweek that you might want to read even though it is a bit dated at this point.

w2008041_945564.htm

While it is true that the price of oil is down, there is doubt about there ever being a shortage. The consumption in the U.S. is only part of the worldwide demand for oil and the 3 to 4 percent reduction here in the U.S. is said by some to be offset by increases in developing countries including China and India.

In order to bring down the greedy we will have to go after many more than just the oil people. I hope that everyone is paying attention to the Congressional hearings involving CEOs of failed financial institutions. Good blog....much to think about!

I went to North Carolina last weekend. The lowest gas prices we saw anywhere, were in Brunswick, Georgia. Gas was $3.29. I was so happy I almost cried! I hope gas prices come back down and stay the heck down! I'm sick of paying more for gas than I do groceries!

But the question still remains! Since gas prices are dropping...will that also reflect on other prices of groceries and other products to also drop in prices or will this be used a profit loss makeup for during the high cost crisis that businesses have endured just as we have? Bringing the prices back down would also be another step in the right direction and can reflect on regenerating our economy crisis! But if people do start to get too comfortable and go on another wild spending spree, no longer being conservative, we just may go right back to repeating ourself again with the economy crisis!

Off the top of my head I think it was wheat, barely, canola, and rapeseed, that had substantial gains as commodities. Flax is my favorite crop purdy bluish purple flowers :) ..

I do agree we need to become a more energy conscious people :)

BornToBeWild, short answer is "no". The prices aren't likely to come down. It is kinda like the old excuse of "inflation" for rising prices. We had a short period of "deflation" but nothing went down.

Lower income, tighter credit.....could mean the end of the good life for a lot of people....permanently. Our society is going through a monumental adjustment to the global economy.

...price is still going down but it will not last , fact is we have cut consumption and we have steadily increased our efficiency for the past 20 years (our “net gain” from 05 adds up to a 30% reduction) but even with all of our cut backs the “game” has changed and we are no longer a big factor in the game...China will buy whatever we do not and Russia is close to making a deal with OPEC that will let them fix the price for the next 100 years...all together it adds up to oil climbing back up to about $95 a barrel before the end of next year and staying there forever.
