I GOT YOUR BOOP-BOOP-A-DOOP BABY!

With every sport there are risks, injury, and competition!  They say no to girls who wish to try out for football and have even commented for them to try out for cheer leading!  Well isn’t that a contradiction statement?   Cheer Leading is also with very high risks of injury or even death but yet it is good enough for both genders!  Yes, football players are big boys but I’ve also seen some women just as big….but yet they may get hurt or be treated differently, well you can also say that about gays!  And let’s not forget the fans of both genders with kids!

Equal rights are still giving stipulations when it comes to the female gender!  It’s maybe one thing in professional sports such as football because of their rules and regulations, written by men BTW, but school’s are for all and should be totally an equal opportunity…period!  No since in separating anything within any part of the school’s other wise it is discriminating against one gender over the other.  So is this what our children need to learn is that the male gender are never over ridden and there are gender separations due to the difference in body parts (different gender)?

What does equal right opertunilty within our school's mean to you and don't you think that's FAIR or not?  Or is the statement we all have given and recieved "Be All You Can Be" and "There's Nothing You Can't Do If You Apply Yourself Right", all based on words alone?  What do you think?

Well yek yeah! The only thing that wouldn't be available would be scholarships because the colleges won't budge with equal rights changes with certain sports. But maybe they could get a difference kind of scholarship offered. UMMM

If they take a hit the wrong way couldn't it make them unfertile?
Why put their future at risk, what are they trying to prove?
I'm not turned on by a female brute, but I can't speak for the submissive...

Gorilla...that can be said with both genders in any physical sport! Cheer Leaders take just as high of a risk with their routeens in competitions and cheering for their teams! Playing a rough sport is not entering a beauty contest just to turn on the male gender!

Would you feel the same about a boy trying out for the girls softball team? or the girls basketball team? I dont think the seperation is there because of equal rights or the lack of it is there because of the difference between the sexes. I feel the same way about girls in the boy scouts. There are certain things that are for boys and certain things for girls. If you allow it to go one way then you must also allow it to go the other.

The point is, not all schools have girl football, soccer, softball, basketball, or baseball teams, just boys! That isn't right! And when you don't have those choices through your school then it should be open to both genders equally. You say there are certain things for boys and certain things for girls, then how do you suppose it's OK for boys to be Cheer Leaders? The Scouts have nothing to do with school BTW.

I see what you're saying about a school that may not offer a girls team for a particular sport. It's a tough call b/c I also see it from a safety perspective. For example, I like football and I'm 5 feet tall. Can you imagine me being tackled by a dude that is 6 foot 5 and 290 pounds?
I guess if a girl OR a boy is good enough to make whatever team is it that they enjoy, then by all means, they should go for it.

If they prove to show they can take a beating then more power to them! As a quarterback or kicker...if they can bring it and show it then that should deserve them the right to be judged equally! Fair is Fair! Why insult good competitions in try-outs because of gender. No one discrimunates against color, culture, or race, so why on gender?

Do you ever see female vs male boxing matches? No, because of the obvious safety concerns. No matter how equal we women want to be, there are clear physical differences between the sexes. Why compromise safety for the sake of being polically correct or making someone feel included?

I love, love, LOVE football. As does my husband, who is a former player. There is no way I could withstand a hit from him, being that I am 135lbs to his 240.

Only chicks I wanna watch playing football are the ones in the lingerie bowl.
If they try out and make it more power, but I don't want the same story in the news about harassment, or hazing, she walked into it...
