Some cried of happiness others of sadness because they were booted out.. but all in all there was great talent in Jacksonville.

I did my part singing the Hills are Alive from the Sound of Music, but my exclusive performance was, well, let's not go there..

Alexis...god how I wanted to be there. My daughter went as moral support for her best friend and we have all been sitting on pins and needles waiting to hear if she made it. I am hoping my daughter found the courage to try out as well because she has a beautiful voice too but only sings for friends and family. Either way...maybe we will all have a reason to go to California soon! Keep your fingers crossed for us.

Darn, what a shame, if we would have known we could have gotten in touch with your daughter and her friend.. have them sing in front of our camaras when I did my story for the network, who knows a producer could have seen them and well... the rest could have been history.. so how did the friend do?

Hello Alexis...gosh IT'S BEEN WAY TOO LONG BUDDY.............look I can sing......GUANTANAMERA......GUAJIRA GUANTANAMERA..........YO SOY UN HOMBRE SINSERO...DE DONDE CREZE LA PALMA.......AZUCAR!!!...hey I wonder if anyone has ever tried to go on this program and sing in SPANISH?????????///...LOL...TAKE CARE.

Awe thanks Alexis...Actually she did pretty well. She made it to the call back but didn't make the final cut for the "big" interview. I think it might have been her choice of song...she sang "Smile" but did Robert Downey Jr's version instead of the original. It's ok however because they all had a blast and are planning on doing it again next time!

Hola everyone, I have been back in Florida for almost a year now, and it is great to be back and part of the FOX 35 News Team. I am amazed of how many people remember me from when I was a National/International Reporter for Telemundo Network... For nine years I was assigned to New York and Puerto Rico... But what is even more interesting is that I met a woman from South Africa and a gentlemen from Russia who knew who I was. They remembered me from the Network show I was on, then I remembered it was such a popular show (a spanish dateline) it was sold to other countries, 25 to be exact and translated to their corresponding languages.. Before FOX 35, I was the main News Anchor at Univision 23 / Dallas, Texas. It was a great experience being a part of a team that became the number one news station in that market... Well I hope to hear from you, share your thoughts and ideas... SALUDOS A TODOS =)... Alexis
