It is so interesting when political people are running for office, they begin speaking spanish.  Spanish interviews, spanish tv and radio adds... etc.. then why they get in office they no longer even say an "Hola".

Why should they??? And why would they stop there if they did? Then they would need to say hello in 50 different languages to be fair to everyone? Why do only the hispanics expect to lay around while we learn their language? Is it because they really do want to take over by invading this country and turning it into the one they hated and left????

Perhaps they speak English when they get in office here in Florida is because English is the official language...... at least for now......subject to change, of course.

Hey Alexis, this is ridiculous...I agree with Toddt.

It would only be NEWS if hispanics decided to learn English and assimilate, instead of trying to change everything to suit themselves.

They should not be pandering to the illegals. To Become an American citizen You MUST be able to READ, WRITE and SPEAK conversational ENGLISH. thats the Laws that are on the book. If they want my vote, enforce the laws that are on the books. Remove the illegals from the prisons, the construction sites, the fields, and the service industries and send them back to their country of origin.

Why is it that those who feel so passionately about the use of English in the USA on blogs of this sort are so glaringly unable to write it properly in terms of its spelling, grammar, capitalization and punctuation?

Why is it that americans that speak english have the damn illegals shoving their spanish down their throats? If I came to Mexico would I expect mexicans to speak english? No of course not. Well, the same here. Don' come here and expect us bend over for you.

Why should they speak Spanish in the first place. Chinese, European, etc. all come here legally, never asking us to speak their language. Spanish people, "Who do they think they are!!" Enough already! You wanted to come here so bad, find the time to learn English like other immigrants or leave. Plain and simple.

Good morning everyone.. No I did not go back home to New Jersey, I am still here in Florida..
I guess my blog was not in clear English, I said how interesting it is how Political people start speaking spanish when running for office then they stop.. I don't think they should even ponder in another language, my idea. I do think they should cater to voters in the English language.. but that is just my personal idea..

Hola everyone, I have been back in Florida for almost a year now, and it is great to be back and part of the FOX 35 News Team. I am amazed of how many people remember me from when I was a National/International Reporter for Telemundo Network... For nine years I was assigned to New York and Puerto Rico... But what is even more interesting is that I met a woman from South Africa and a gentlemen from Russia who knew who I was. They remembered me from the Network show I was on, then I remembered it was such a popular show (a spanish dateline) it was sold to other countries, 25 to be exact and translated to their corresponding languages.. Before FOX 35, I was the main News Anchor at Univision 23 / Dallas, Texas. It was a great experience being a part of a team that became the number one news station in that market... Well I hope to hear from you, share your thoughts and ideas... SALUDOS A TODOS =)... Alexis
