Wake Up America? NO YOU WAKE UP!

Right now America is looking at the fruits of their leadership's labor over the last few decades.  America after WWII got lost somewhere along the way, growing some sort of arrogance of being bullet proof, and instead of guarding the benefits of our hard work, instead we procrastinated, and put off till anohter day what should have been a continued vigilant watch on our security in all its aspects. From financial, physical, and soverntry itself.  Because we are a DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC things take time.

However there will be those that take advantage of the freedom, and exploit it.  When others warn of their behavior's negative results, they dismissed it.

I can't believe we have leaders saying that CAPITALISM has failed!  Telling American to wake up and see.   NO.. I'm not going to subscribe to such a ridiculous notion, and say, there is a difference between capitalism, and greed.

People pointing to China being a GREAT country, CUBA with better healthcare, etc.  China does not have global warming/enviromental restictions, and the majority live in utter poverty.   India has the same deal.  ALL because some folks think that mankind is killing the planet?  AND REFUSE TO DEBATE IT!

Our financial system works WHEN we MANAGE it!  We blocked, fillabustered, killed, and tossed out EVERY attempt to manage our financial system!  Now we have some telling us that capitalism has died, and we need Socialism to survive it.  WRONG!  We need to WAKE LEADERSHIP UP and send THEM the message that we will hold you accountable for abusing our trust!  

Time to protect our citizens, and time to kick out and punish those who put us in this mess!  Here is the big one... START HOLDING THE PEOPLE THAT ELECT THESE PEOPLE ACCOUNTABLE!!! 

To the North East of America.. you are officially on NOTICE!!!  You continue to prop up the Franks, Schumers, Dodds, and others  that betray the trust of the entire nation we will be comming after you for answers!

We could end up moving the Mason/Dixon line a litter further North...

Coming after them for “answers” ? If all we want is answers then why did you have me buy all of those pitch forks and make all those torches !
This is insanity , are you watching to party's fight over who to “bail out” the republicans are siding with business/no one the democrats are fighting to bail out all the people who borrowed money and are willing to bail the banks out as well...the “correct answer” is to bail out no one ! Not the banks and not the people who owe the banks money.
My vote is now up for grabs, I will vote for anyone who is willing to stop this insanity.
And Candy I suggest you go back to Cuba and take a GOOD look around and then tell me that health care there is “great” AND that it is worth the cost !

Capitalism or the failure OF it had NOTHING to DO with this Crises any more then deregulation did....If ANYTHING ,, the Institution of the SOCIALIZED concept.. BY THE GOVERNMENT,, of NINJA Loans wasthe MAIN culprit..

RN..AS I understand this..THIS is NOT so much a "Bailout" as it is the Government's ASSUMPTION of these loans,,MOST of which (90%) are NOT in default..

There is ACTUALLY a possibility of the Government making a PROFIT down the road IF things take a turn for the better..Kinda like the Loan to Chrysler where WE,, the Taxpayers,, made out to the tune of 600 million dollars when the loan was paid back....

That's right 90% of the loans are NOT in default, They(the dems) want to create this Huge pool of money to siphon from, So we will never make money from it because it they will blow it all whether they need to or not, Need I remind you the Dems ARE in control of the house and senate they DON'T need Republican support to pass this bailout they ALREADY have the votes to push this through, If it's such a damn good deal why don't they just DO it? I'll tell you why, When this plane goes down nose first they won't be able to share the blame with the Republicans, They know it's a crappy deal, They are just like little kids throwing rocks at the neighbors house, C'mon johnny you have to throw some too, You can't leave us to get all the blame. Also it has been leaked that some of the money has been earmarked for ACORN, Isn't that special people? So the msm's argument that McCain OR the Republicans screwed this deal up is a lie because there never was a deal to begin with that was just another msm lie.

Without it the debt is a forced slavery...

When people have the power to rewrite mortgages, it will be someones opinion at work as opposed to a system of checks and balances. We can't trust any elected position to actually do their job honestly! Everyone wants something in return...

This is ALL absurd... 90% of them aren't in default... Well I think 10% is pretty damn bad.. And how do you foresee the market turning around, as industry, that was America's bread and butter, is streaming overseas.... You can only pump water out of a well so long if there's no rain, and it's getting pretty dry.. You can point to the democrats in the pocket of fannie/freddie, and I agree, but you forget everyone else... the realtors, appraisers, contractor's who took the money and ran. Capitalism would be great if were regulated right. Free-trade would be great, if nations were held to the same labor and environmental standards and lowering our standards is not acceptable. People have to wake up. If you believe that the Global communism we are approaching is right, you are my mortal enemy.. republican and democrat alike. This free reign corporate capitalism is destroying us, if it hasn't already.

I agree! IF it was regulated right! That includes lowering Capital gains, and lowering the Corperate Tax rate from 35% to a level that would attract people to business in the US!
McCain's example with Ireland at 11% vs. US at 35% was PERFECT!

If you have a product or service the same as the next guy, the customer will buy the cheaper one! Either your product has to be better to validate that price, or you have to compete in the open market with comparable prices!

Democrats can't get past the revenue of higher taxes, EVEN AFTER time and again we prove that a lower price brings more buyers!

Heres a thought. would it not be cheaper in the long run to just issue a check to every tax paying citizen in the amount of 1 million with the stipulation that they had to use those funds to:
1. Pay off all mortgages
2. Pay off all credit cards
3. Pay off all personal loans
4. Pay off all outstanding debt
5. Place 1/2 of the remainder into a secured savings account to draw interest.
LIVE LIFE with the other 1/2 they are free to use as they see fit.

The mortgage companies would be bailed out, The credit card companies would be bailed out, the loan companies would be bailed out. Education loans would be bailed out. The general population would have more in the bank than ever before. The tax rolls would benefit as they would be collecting more. The banks would have a secured funding base. The general population would be in a position to spend increasing the profit margins, which in turn would stimulate more businesses to open, hire people and continue to fuel the economy. And the best pay off....IT WOULDN'T COST 700 BILLION to accomplish it all and I as a tax paying citizen would get some BENEFIT instead of just the bill!

I sort of like ya Gotchya! We can all figure out really fast who speaks the most truth by just looking at who you decide to spew childish rants about.

Macro Eco 101 will tell you that the capital system left to fail, will actually bail itself out in about 18 months. But left to liberals trying to turn the system into a Socialist agenda, it would take decades.

Besides.. the bill will fail now since the discovery of camoflagued earmarks to send 20% of the profit to ACORN and La Raza!

The GOP found it, and once again caught the liberals trying to rush a bill so nobody could read it. Just like Biden/Obama world poverty bill sneaking in another bill, or Harry Reid 2 days ago sneaking in a rider on legislation to ban oil exploration in the midwest a day after the offshore mortoreum was allowed to die!

The liberal hacks are just upset that people are actually paying attention now, and at a 9% approval rating BEFORE they find out the facts on FREDDIE/FANNIE... stick a fork in the left.. they are done!

Why our elected officials ALLOWED this crisis
to reach the level that it did, is what should be deemed as criminal. Heads turned, eyes diverted, or at half mast, while sipping their third Grey Goose Martini at 1pm, and being fully aware of billions of dollars in unsecured, unverified contracts being passed under their noses, for properties valued at heights a preschooler could have earmarked as dubious. Buyers were just as guilty, "going along," lalala, "Sure, if you say so, I make an extra 110K mowing lawns..,lalala" Stamp of approval, coming right up, son! Realtors and their Brokers? Stuck slap in the middle of the gooiest, PBJ ever to hit the closing table! So WHO is to blame? The lenders? The Borrowers? The Mortgage Brokers? The Realtors? How about GWB? Well, HE somehow slipped in here to my house and stole the LAST cookie from my cookie jar! How do I know it was him? Well, who else am I gonna blame?

Abunai, how about the billions for the Auto Makers that has been hidden in the recent appropriations bill that Bush is expected to sign after stating earlier that he would not honor their requests for the money.

If they need money why don't they go to a bank like everyone else? Why do the taxpayers have to loan/give them money when all that they have done for the taxpayers is to send jobs and money overseas?

These bail-outs for private businesses are the biggest scam on taxpayers since the Medicare prescription drug program was forced on the public to benefit the drug companies. No one is even sure exactly where the money will be spent. Corruption will reign again.....maybe even a little drug money will be had.
