Google the Group!

The Music section is already there for the blogging but FOX has to make it active....It's also in the choice of section with News, Entertainment, Politics, Traffic, Weather, you will see also Music. I realize that Music is a form of entertainment but being a Musician I think the Music lovers around could benefit by knowing, reading, and blogging coming events with Concerts, Local Bands, keeping it all about music, even for those with different styles of Music, which as you know covers a wide area of Styles! FOX please make it so...you have the selection there for the picking so can we get it started up?

Skynyrd's "Endangered Species" is an excellent album!!!! I give that one a five star rating!!

BTW, I googled Frigid Pink. I've heard that song, but I'm still not sure who they are. They sound pretty cool tho. This is something my dad would have liked back in the 60's/70's so I'm going to ask him. he still has tons of LP's.

Funny how your list of best rock albums is mostly the poser hair metal bands that were more concerned with looks than good musicianship. You want best albums?

Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell

Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast

Scorpions - Blackout

Judas Priest - Screaming for a Vengeance

Dio- Holy Diver

I still have many more that I didn't mention. Zep 2 for sure. Also, Aerosmith, "Toys in the Attic". Man I could go on. Yeah, maybe I should have narrowed it a bit.

Hmmm, not very crazy about heavier stuff like Iron Maiden and Dio. I do pretty much like the other stuff that's been mentioned. I like a lot of the 80's hair bands as well. I used to be a big Poison fan, too.

I gotta say that my favorite rock album ever is an easy choice: "Fair Warning" -Van Halen It's Eddie's masterpiece. There's not any rhythm guitar playing on this one. Every song Eddie's playing an extended solo underneath everything. I do like "Women and Children First" too. It's probably the best example (and first) of how versatile Van Halen was and is. There are HARD rockin' tunes and then also an acoustic... island flavored song.
I also agree that AC/DC's "Back In Black" is a rick masterpiece. Every song is great. I also think it's the band's last truly great release. Brian Johnson's voice was "gravelly" to begin with... but he seemed to start gargling with broken glass after that and his voice never sounded as good again.

Oh yeah... spread the word... the MUSIC category **IS** coming... at some point. It has to be activated by the folks at "The Mothership" in New York City though. Not sure when that's gonna happen. Maybe if we keep filling up the ENTERTAINMENT category with MUSIC blogs... they'll have to make it active!
